Favorite Quote

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity." -Amelia Earhart

Favorite Purdue Landmark

Windsor Halls - These five buildings have been nicely renovated yet still maintain the charm and traditional look of the 1930s when they were built. The eclectic and International cuisine offers some fun dining alternatives. My wife Sally and I have enjoyed serving as faculty fellows at Windsor since our arrival at Purdue. One of the halls, Duhme Hall, was once the residence of Amelia Earhart.

First Job Ever

Hot dog bun steamer at age 6 in my family's ice cream parlor. The pay off was free ice cream cones. Life was good, so very good.

Worst Job Ever

Crawl space ditch digger - When I was 12 years old, we dug a ditch underneath our house to lay a water line. The pay off was being sponsored to attend Jerry West Basketball Camp. It was worth it"
