Executive Director

HOW DID YOU GET  HERE?

While serving as a university career center director in New York, a mentor in the field and then a Purdue administrator (now a dear friend) reached out to me in 2000 and invited me to apply to be the new CCO director. I did so and am honored to continue to serve in this role.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT THE CCO?

The people with whom I work. The Purdue CCO has extraordinarily talented and dedicated staff which includes undergraduate ambassadors, analysts, interns and graduate assistants, as well as our administrative support and professional staff.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL JOB YOU EVER HAD?

My first job at age 6 – hot dog bun steamer at my family’s ice cream and hot dog parlor. My payment was unlimited ice cream cones!

FAVORITE THINGS:

My wife Sally and I share a passion for travel adventures and performing arts.

QUOTE YOU LIVE BY:

Of the things Rotarians think, say or do, Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

ADVICE FOR STUDENTS:

Keep an open mind and don’t ever quench your thirst for learning. Remember what Oliver Wendell Holmes shared with us: "A mind, once expanded by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions."
