Purdue Graduates pursue many exciting careers! Your Purdue career planning begins now and will be a lifelong journey of adventure.  So whether you are satisfied with your current major and career plans or you are unsure about your major, these activities will help you begin to explore some of your many options. Remember, you don’t have to already have the answers, but now is a great time to begin!
 

Follow these instructions to complete your myCareerPlan activity and reflection.

Instructions:

1.  Read through the three options below:
            Option 1: Interview An Expert:
            You will select a person in a job or career path that interests you and ask questions about their career using
            questions provided. 
             
            Option 2: Career Investigation:

            You will use the online career resources provided to read about career areas that interest you and related career
            paths.  
             
            Option 3: Career Time Travel:

            You will talk to a person that knows you well to see how your career interests have changed during your lifetime
            and then identify future career paths of interest.  

2.  Select one of the three options from these myCareerPlan activities and follow the instructions with 
     corresponding reflection activity prior to meeting with your Academic Advisor. 

3.  Log into your New Student Tab on the myPurdue portal with your career account and password to record your 
     reflection.

4.  Discuss the activity or other career-related concerns with your Academic Advisor or schedule an appointment via          BoilerConnect to meet with a Career Services Consultant at the Center for Career Opportunities.
